Will Brahm
Will Brahm is a Los Angeles based guitarist and composer, and a 2019 Herbie Hancock International Guitar competition semi finalist. He received his bachelors of music in Jazz Guitar Studies at California Sate University Long Beach, where he was a five time consecutive recipient of the “K-jazz” scholarship.
Will has performed, recorded, and worked with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, the New West Guitar Group, Gordon Goodwin’s “Big Phat Band,” Kim Richmond, Otmaro Ruiz, Sara Gazarek, Jane Monheit, and Gretchen Parlato.
Ray Brinker
Ray Brinker is a professional drummer based in Los Angeles, CA. Ray received a Bachelor Of Music in Jazz Studies from North Texas State University, and performed as a member of NTSU’s Grammy-nominated 1 O’Clock Lab Band.
Upon graduation from NTSU, Ray toured worldwide with jazz high-note trumpet player Maynard Ferguson before moving to the West Coast, where he has become a staple in the Los Angeles studio and performance scene.
Kevin Axt
Bassist Kevin Axt was born in Burbank, California. He attended the University of Southern California as a music major and subsequently began his career in Los Angeles as a freelance bassist. Proficient on both upright and electric basses, Kevin has toured and recorded with many artists across several musical genres.
Joey DeLeon
Joey De Leon Jr has been behind some of the best artists the world has to offer. Everything from Al Jarreau, Queen Latifah, to Poncho Sanchez, Al McKay and Arturo Sandoval, and for the past 9 years with the Phat Band with recordings and tours all over this world.
Today, he is leader in his own right, fulfilling a long time goal of self-empowering as well as spreading the gospel to others.
Andy Martin
Coming from a musical family, trombonist Andy Martin launched his career while still in his teens. His technique and virtuosity quickly established him on the Los Angeles music scene. Martin has inuenced countless young players as an educator and has appeared at more than 100 colleges, universities, high schools across the country as a guest artist/clinician.
Charlie Morillas
Charlie Morillas has enjoyed a varied and successful career as a freelance trombonist in Hollywood and the Southern California area.
Charlie grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and then graduated from the University of Southern California. He was selected to play in the California High School All-Star jazz band, and the College All American Band. He has studied trombone with Bob Soder, Dan Livesay, Ned Meredith, Dennis Smith, Terry Cravens, and studied jazz improvisation with Charlie Shoemake.
Francisco Torres
Francisco Torres is a well-respected trombonist, bass trombonist, educator, composer and arranger who hails from the town of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. While being a member of the Big Phat Band, he has also served as musical director, producer and arranger for the Grammy winning percussionist Poncho Sanchez for 15 years.
Craig Gosnell
Craig Gosnell is a freelance bass trombonist and vocalist currently residing in the Los Angeles area. In 1997 and 1998 he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music with an emphasis in instrumental performance from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2003, he earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami. He was born near Miami, Florida and attended public schools in Palm Springs North, FL. as well as Littleton and Lakewood, Colorado. He currently teaches trombone in the L.A. area, and doubles on other low brass instruments.
Eric Marienthal
Eric has won 2 Grammy Awards and has been nominated 8 times as a member of the Chick Corea Elektric Band, Jeff Lorber Fusion and Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. Having performed in over 80 countries and played on hundreds of CD’s, films and TV shows, Eric has recorded 15 solo CD's including his latest entitled "Double Dealin’” with legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker. Eric's CD's have produced several top 10 radio singles including three #1's.
Sal Lozano
A Southern California native Sal plays in as in founding member of Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band.
Some artists Sal has also recorded with include Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Christina Aguilera, Lalo Schifrin, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Brian McKnight, Maynard Ferguson and Natalie Cole.
Brian Scanlon
Brian Scanlon has been an active member of the Los Angeles music scene since 1987. As a saxophonist and woodwind doubler, he has made his mark in the recording studios, on the concert stage and in nightclubs.
Born in Queens, New York, and raised in New Jersey, Brian started playing the saxophone at age eight. He studied saxophone with Ramon Ricker at prestigious Eastman School of Music where he earned both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music (1981 and 1983).
Jeff Driskill
Professional saxophonist, Jeff Driskill discovered his passionate love of music at a very early age. He began focusing that affection specifically on the saxophone at thirteen and around the same time discovered an intense fondness for jazz. By the time Driskill was in high school, he knew that a future filled with jazz was one he wanted to be a part of so he put his nose to the grindstone and got serious about pursuing music at North Texas State University.
Jay Mason
Jay Mason has become one of the Los Angeles’ areas busiest saxophonists and woodwind doublers since launching his career in 1983, after graduating from CSU, Long Beach. His performance credits include work with Take 6, Eddie Daniels, Michael Feinstein, Michael McDonald, Seth McFarlane, and many others.
Kevin Garren
Originally from Simi Valley, California, Kevin Garren was born into a musical family. He began his musical training at 8 years old, when his father began to teach Kevin the guitar. Kevin quickly developed his musical ability by racing through his school work in order to practice several hours a day.

Dan Fornero
Originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dan Fornero attended North Texas State University from 1977-81 where he played 1st trumpet in the famed One O’clock Lab Band in 1980 & 1981.
Moving to Los Angeles in 1982, Dan left for a year on the road playing lead trumpet with Woody Herman. In 1988 he began a three-year tour with Tom Jones and in 1991 he became a founding member of the Vine Street Horns and began recording and touring with many great artists.

Dan Savant
Dan Savant started his music production company, Savant Productions, in 1978. He plays trumpet and drums and originally performed with his band for all types of private functions in addition to playing for film, TV, and CD album recordings. Dan’s band performed at large parties for ABC, Universal and Disney Studios as well as charity events for The City Of Hope and Children’s Hospital.
